DMD Circular Letter No. 04: Trading of Sukuk issued against Safe Water Supply to the Whole Country Project in Secondary Market at Negotiated Price

Dear Sir,

Context of purchase and sale of Sukuk issued against the project "Safe Water Supply to the Whole Country" at negotiated price in the secondary market.

In accordance with the prospectus published through letters of this department dated 23 December 2020 and 31 May 2021, reference numbers DMD/299(1)/2020-2105 and DMD/299(1)/2021-988 respectively, a 5-year Bangladesh Government Investment Sukuk (Ijara Sukuk) of 8,000 (Eight Thousand) Crore Taka was issued against the project "Safe Water Supply to the Whole Country", which was tradable only at par value. Currently, in light of the implementation of one-third of the said project as per the conditions described in the prospectus, the Sukuk will be tradable at a negotiated price in the secondary market.
