DMD Circular Letter No. 08: Time schedule of Bangladesh Government Bill/Bond Auction, Sukuk and BGIIB Auction, Open Market Operation, Inter Bank Repo, Secondary Trade (OTC & TWS) and EDSMoney platform transaction during Ramadan
The Department of Monetary Management (DMD) of Bangladesh Bank establishes a revised time schedule for government bill/bond auctions, Sukuk and BGIIB auctions, open market operations, interbank repo, secondary trade (OTC & TWS), and EDSMoney platform transactions to be observed by all scheduled banks and financial institutions during the holy month of Ramadan. The circular specifies distinct operating hours for each transaction type, ranging from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM for primary auctions and OMOs, up to 2:30 PM or 3:45 PM for secondary trades and the EDSMoney platform, with normal schedules resuming immediately after Ramadan concludes.

The time schedule for Bangladesh Government Treasury Bill/Bond, Sukuk and Bangladesh Government Islamic Investment Bond (BGIIB) Auction, Open Market Operation, Inter Bank Repo, Secondary Trade (OTC & TWS) and EDSMoney platform transactions during the holy month of Ramadan is determined as follows:

Furthermore, all activities on the EDSMoney platform will be conducted from 9:30 AM to 3:45 PM. It is noted that the current normal time schedule will resume immediately after the holy month of Ramadan has passed.
