The Department of Offshore Supervision instructs all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to close their branches or sub-branches located in polling stations within the Durgapur Paurashava electoral area on January 12, 2023, to facilitate the Mayor by-election. Banks are required to ensure that their employees residing in the relevant electoral area are granted the opportunity to exercise their voting rights on that date.

Regarding the need to take necessary measures to facilitate the casting of vote by the voter employees of the related area on 12th January 2023 for the Mayor By-election of Durgapur Paurashava in Netrokona District, by keeping the branches/sub-branches of the bank located in places used as polling stations closed and providing voters with the opportunity to exercise their voting rights.

In accordance with the notification number: 05.00.0000.173.08.002.21-05 dated 10 January 2023 of the Ministry of Public Administration, regarding the by-election for the vacant post of Mayor of Durgapur Paurashava in Netrokona District on 12 January 2023, advice is given to close any branch/sub-branch of the bank located in any premises designated as polling stations or for election activities within the electoral area, and to take necessary measures to provide your bank's employees working in the branches/sub-branches within the relevant electoral area with the opportunity to exercise their voting rights.
