The Department of Off-site Supervision directs all scheduled banks operating in customs house and station areas to keep their branches open on Friday, 22 January 2016, and Saturday, 23 January 2016, to align with the National Board of Revenue's decision to keep customs stations open on those dates. Banks are advised to provide dignified and reasonable allowances to officers and staff who report for duty on these government holidays, ensuring adequate security measures are in place.

Chief Executive All Scheduled Banks operating in Bangladesh.
Dear Sir,
With reference to the matter of keeping all relevant banks open at all Customs Houses and Stations in the country on the upcoming 22nd and 23rd of January, 2016,
Attention is drawn to Document No.-17(3)Gen:Tax: & Adm/2007/40 dated 21/01/2016 of the National Board of Revenue. In light of the decision to keep all Customs Stations in the country open on the upcoming 22nd and 23rd of January, 2016, which are respectively Friday and Saturday, instructions are hereby given to keep the relevant Scheduled Bank branches of the Customs Stations open on the aforementioned dates, ensuring adequate security.
It is advised to you that dignified and reasonable allowances be provided to officers/staff who report for duty on 22 and 23 January, 2016, as these days are government holidays.
