DOS Circular Letter No. 06: Keeping all schedule bank branches open 24/7 at Agrabad area in Chittagong
Schedule banks operating in the Agrabad area of Chittagong are directed to keep their branches open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, following instructions from the Prime Minister's Office. This requirement is contingent upon the banks ensuring necessary security measures in coordination with the Chittagong Port/Customs Authority. Banks may engage in bilateral discussions with the Chittagong Port/Customs Authority to arrange the necessary provisions for maintaining these extended operating hours.

To, All Chief Executive Officers of Schedule Banks operating in Bangladesh
Dear Sir,
Regarding the arrangement to keep banks in the Agrabad area of Chittagong open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In pursuance of the instructions contained in letter No.-03.00.0000.078.46.021.16-74 dated 29/03/2018 from the Prime Minister's Office on the above subject, you are hereby directed to take necessary arrangements to keep your bank branches located in the Agrabad area, in coordination with the Chittagong Port/Customs Authority, open 24 hours a day, seven (07) days a week, after ensuring necessary security.
- In this regard, banks may take necessary arrangements to keep the relevant branches open by engaging in bilateral discussions with the Chittagong Port/Customs Authority as needed.
