DOS Circular Letter No. 07: Closing of Scheduled Bank Branches on 30 May 2015 due to Magura-1 By-poll

All scheduled banks are required to close their branches located in the Magura-1 constituency on Saturday, 30 May 2015. This closure is mandated to facilitate voting in the by-poll for the vacant 91st seat of the 10th National Parliament, in accordance with a circular from the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives dated 24 May 2015.

To: The Chief Executive Officers of all Scheduled Banks operating in Bangladesh.

Dear Sir,

In this regard, regarding the closure of scheduled banks on the occasion of voting in the by-poll for the vacant 91st Magura-1 seat of the 10th National Parliament, it is informed that a general holiday has been declared on Saturday, 30 May, 2015, in the concerned electoral area for voting in the by-poll for the vacant 91st Magura-1 seat of the 10th National Parliament, pursuant to Memorandum No. 05.00.0000.173.08.002.12-108 dated 24/05/2015 from the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives. In light of this, all branches of scheduled banks located in the concerned electoral area will remain closed on Saturday, 30 May, 2015, to facilitate bank staff/employees in exercising their voting rights and voting.
