To, Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer All Scheduled Banks operating in Bangladesh.

Regarding: Advising to close the branches/sub-branches of the bank located at the premises used as polling centers in the relevant electoral areas on 13, 16 and 20 March 2023 for the general/by-election of vacant seats of various Upazila Parishads and Union Parishads and the general election of Pourashavas in the country, and to take necessary measures to facilitate the voters to exercise their voting rights.

Dear Sir,

In accordance with the Gazette Notification No.-05.00.0000.173.08.002.21-38 dated 09 March 2023 of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives, it is advised to close the branches/sub-branches of the bank located at the premises designated as polling centers or for electoral activities in the relevant electoral areas for the general election/by-election of vacant seats of various Upazila Parishads and Union Parishads and the general election of Pourashavas in the country (list attached) on 13 March 2023, 16 March 2023 and 20 March 2023, which are the dates of polling. Furthermore, necessary measures should be taken to facilitate the voters working in the branches/sub-branches of your bank in the relevant electoral areas to exercise their voting rights.
