All scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh must keep their branches and regional offices closed on Sunday, March 31, 2019, in the election areas of Gobindaganj (Gaibandha), Bhurungamari (Kurigram), and Lohagara (Chattogram). This closure is to facilitate voting for the 5th Upazila Parishad General Election (4th Phase) and is in addition to the 110 Upazilas previously specified in DOS Circular Letter No. 07.

Dear Sir/Madam,
Subject: Regarding the declaration of a general holiday in the election area (concerned Upazila) on Sunday, March 31, 2019, the day of voting for the 4th phase of the 5th Upazila Parishad General Election.
With reference to DOS Circular Letter No. 07 issued by this Department on 28/03/2019 on the above subject, it is hereby informed that in addition to the 110 Upazilas mentioned in the said circular letter, for the general election of the following 03 (three) Upazila Parishads, all branches of scheduled banks, including their regional offices, located in the respective election areas will remain closed on Sunday, March 31, 2019, to facilitate the exercise of voting rights by officers/employees and the casting of votes:
