DOS Circular Letter No. 09: Temporary Intermission of Banking Operations of United Commercial Bank PLC for Core Banking System Upgradation
The Department of Offsite Supervision grants consent for United Commercial Bank PLC to temporarily suspend all banking operations for six days, from 12:00 AM on June 9, 2025, to 11:59 PM on June 14, 2025, to facilitate core banking system upgradation. This suspension covers branches, sub-branches, agent banking outlets, debit cards, ATMs, CRMs, internet banking, and SWIFT services. The approval is issued under the powers vested in Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991.

Subject: Consent for temporary suspension of all banking operations of United Commercial Bank PLC for the purpose of Core Banking System upgradation.
Dear Sir,
Consent is hereby granted, upon the application of United Commercial Bank PLC, to temporarily suspend all banking operations (branches, sub-branches, agent banking outlets, debit cards, ATMs and CRMs services, internet banking, SWIFT, etc.) for a period of 06 (six) days from 12:00 AM on June 9, 2025, to 11:59 PM on June 14, 2025, for the purpose of successfully completing the current Core Banking System (CBS) upgradation program.
This consent is granted under the powers vested in Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991.
