The Department of Off-Site Supervision directs all scheduled banks in Bangladesh to observe Wednesday, 13 June 2018 as a holiday for Shab-E-Qadr, following a government notification changing the date from Tuesday, 12 June 2018. Consequently, Tuesday, 12 June 2018 is designated as a working day for these institutions.

Dear Sir,
Regarding the change of the previously announced bank holiday date on the occasion of Holy Shab-e-Qadr,
With reference to the Memorandum No. 05.00.0000.173.08.001.18-108 dated 05/06/2018 of the Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, it is informed that the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has re-fixed the government holiday declared for Shab-e-Qadr from Tuesday, 12 June 2018 to Wednesday, 13 June 2018. Accordingly, through DOS Circular Letter No. 26/2017 issued on 28 November 2017, the previously declared holiday on Tuesday, 12 June 2018 will be considered a working day, and all scheduled banks located in the country will remain closed on Wednesday, 13 June 2018.
