DOS Circular Letter No. 10: To keep all branches of Scheduled banks open on 29/06/2013 (saturday) for the convenience of the tax-payers in paying tax
Scheduled banks are required to keep all branches open on Saturday, 29 June 2013, to facilitate tax payments by taxpayers. Banks must also take necessary measures to cash in Pay Orders and cheques deposited in June 2013 by 30 June 2013, while ensuring the safety of funds during this period.

Regarding keeping branches of Scheduled banks open on Saturday, 29-06-2013, in advance for the convenience of taxpayers in paying income tax.
In the interest of national revenue collection, branches of Scheduled banks will remain open on Saturday, 29/06/2013, subject to taking necessary measures to cash in Pay Orders/cheques deposited in June/2013 by 30/06/2013 and ensuring safety for the convenience of taxpayers in paying income tax.
