DOS Circular Letter No. 11: Keeping scheduled bank branches closed in the election areas on 8th May, 2024 Wednesday for the General Election of 141 Upazilla Parishads
Scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh must keep all branches and regional offices closed on Wednesday, 8 May 2024, in the specific areas affected by the general elections for 141 Upazila Parishads. This closure is mandated in accordance with Gazette Notification No. 05.00.0000.173.08.020.24-53 issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on 6 May 2024. The directive applies to all scheduled banks operating within the designated election zones.

Regarding the general holiday declared on Wednesday, 08 May 2024, in the concerned election areas on the occasion of the general election of 141 Upazila Parishads.
Dear Sir,
In accordance with Gazette Notification No. 05.00.0000.173.08.020.24-53 dated 06 May 2024 of the Ministry of Public Administration, all branches/sub-branches of scheduled banks located in the concerned election areas, including regional offices, shall remain closed on Wednesday, 08 May 2024, on the occasion of the general election of 141 Upazila Parishads (list attached).
