All scheduled bank branches, sub-branches, and regional offices located in the 111 Upazila Parishad election areas in Bangladesh will remain closed on May 29, 2024. This closure is mandated by a general holiday declared by the Ministry of Public Administration on May 20, 2024, for the General Election of these Upazila Parishads.

Regarding the declaration of a general holiday on 29 May 2024 in the relevant election areas on the occasion of the General Election of 111 Upazila Parishads.
Dear Sir,
According to the notification number: 05.00.0000.173.08.020.24.63 dated 20 May 2024 of the Ministry of Public Administration, on the occasion of the General Election of 111 Upazila Parishads (list attached), all branches/sub-branches including regional offices of scheduled banks located in the relevant election areas will remain closed on 29 May 2024.
