All scheduled banks in Bangladesh are ordered to remain closed on Monday, 04 July 2016, which is declared a government holiday. Conversely, Saturday, 16 July 2016, is designated as a working day for these institutions.

Dear Sir,
With reference to the announcement of a holiday on Monday, 04 July 2016, and the declaration of Saturday, 16 July 2016, as a working day, it is informed that pursuant to Memo No. 05.00.0000.173.08.014.07-148 dated 22/06/2016 of the Administration Division of the Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, under the powers conferred upon the Government by Section 25 of the General Clauses Act, 1897, a government holiday has been declared for 04 July 2016, and Saturday, 16 July 2016, has been declared as a working day in lieu thereof.
In this regard, all scheduled banks located in Bangladesh will remain closed on Monday, 04 July 2016, and Saturday, 16 July 2016, will be considered a working day in lieu of the said date.
