DOS Circular Letter No. 15: Closing of Scheduled Bank branches at Barishal-5 due to 10th National Parliamentary Election

All scheduled bank branches located in the Barishal-5 electoral constituency are required to remain closed on Sunday, June 15, 2014, to facilitate voting in the by-election for the vacant seat of the 10th National Parliament. This directive is issued in accordance with a general holiday declaration by the Ministry of Public Administration for the specified electoral area.

To All Banks Operating in Bangladesh.

Dear Sir,

Subject: Closing of Scheduled Bank branches in connection with the voting for the vacant seat of the 123 Barishal-5 electoral constituency of the 10th National Parliament.

Reference is made to Letter No. 05.00.0000.173.08.002.12-126 dated 12/06/2014 of the Ministry of Public Administration regarding the subject matter. Accordingly, a general holiday has been declared on Sunday, 15/06/2014, in the relevant electoral constituency for the voting for the vacant seat of the 123 Barishal-5 electoral constituency of the 10th National Parliament. In this context, all branches of scheduled banks located in the relevant electoral constituency will remain closed on Sunday, 15/06/2014, to facilitate the exercise of voting rights and voting by bank employees.
