DOS Circular Letter No. 17: Closing of Scheduled Bank Branches in Narayanganj-5 due to National Parliamentary Election

To All Chief Executives of all Banks operating in Bangladesh.

Dear Sir,

Subject: Closing of Scheduled Banks in connection with the by-election for the vacant seat of Narayanganj-5 Constituency of the National Parliament.

With reference to the letter No. 05.00.0000.173.08.002.12-136 dated June 23, 2014, from the Ministry of Public Administration regarding the by-election for the vacant seat of Narayanganj-5 Constituency of the National Parliament, a general holiday has been declared on Thursday, June 26, 2014, in the concerned electoral area.

In this regard, all branches of Scheduled Banks located in the concerned electoral area will remain closed on Thursday, June 26, 2014, to facilitate the exercise of voting rights by bank staff and the conduct of the election.
