DOS Circular Letter No. 17: Keeping scheduled bank branches of election area close on 18 July 2016 for the occasion of National Parliament election in 146 Mymensingh-1 and 148 Mymensingh-3 constituency

All scheduled bank branches located in the 146 Mymensingh-1 and 148 Mymensingh-3 constituencies are required to remain closed on Monday, 18 July 2016. This directive is issued to facilitate the casting of votes and ensure the exercise of voting rights by officials and employees during the by-elections for the vacant seats in these constituencies for the 10th National Parliament.

Dear Sir,

Regarding the closure of Scheduled Bank branches on the day of polling in the 146 Mymensingh-1 and 148 Mymensingh-3 constituencies of the National Parliament

In light of the Memorandum No. 05.00.0000.173.08.002.12-164 dated 13/07/2016 from the Rule-4 Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, the Election Commission has declared the by-elections for the vacant seats of the 146 Mymensingh-1 and 148 Mymensingh-3 constituencies of the 10th National Parliament. To facilitate the officials/employees to exercise their respective voting rights and for the convenience of polling, all branches of the Scheduled Banks located in the aforementioned constituencies will remain closed on Monday, 18 July 2016.
