DOS Circular Letter No. 17: Time Extension for Submission of Annual Audit Report
The Department of Off-site Supervision of the Bangladesh Bank extends the deadline for scheduled banks to submit their annual audit reports for the year 2020 until June 30, 2021. This extension is granted under Section 40 of the Bank Companies Act, 1991, exercising powers provided in Section 121 of the same Act in consultation with the Government. The notification, dated April 27, 2021, formally exempts these banks from the standard submission requirements for the specified period.

Regarding the extension of the time limit for submission of the annual audit report for the year 2020 under Rule 40 of the Bank Companies Act, 1991.
A copy of the notification No.- DOS(G)1151/50/2021-1905 issued by Bangladesh Bank on April 27, 2021, on the aforementioned subject is enclosed herewith for your information and necessary action.

Notification 14 Baisakh 1428 B. No.- DOS(G)1151/50/2021-1905 Date: 27 April 2021 AD
Bangladesh Bank, exercising the powers conferred under Section 121 of the Bank Companies Act, 1991 in consultation with the Government, hereby exempts the scheduled banks from the obligations under Rule 40 of the said Act and fixes the time limit for submission of the annual audit report for the year 2020 to the Bangladesh Bank until June 30, 2021.
