DOS Circular Letter No. 18: To keep all branches of Scheduled banks open on 28/06/2014 (Saturday) for the convenience of paying income tax by tax-payers
All branches of scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh are required to remain open on Saturday, June 28, 2014, to facilitate income tax payments by taxpayers. Banks must also take necessary arrangements to cash deposited pay orders or checks by June 30, 2014, to ensure national revenue collection and secure the tax payment process.

Dear Sir,
Regarding keeping branches of Scheduled banks open on Saturday, 28 June, 2014, in advance for the convenience of taxpayers paying income tax.
In the interest of national revenue collection, it is necessary to take arrangements to cash deposited pay orders/checks in June/2014 by 30/06/2014. To ensure security while facilitating income tax payments by taxpayers, branches of Scheduled banks will remain open on Saturday, 28/06/2014.
