Regarding the operation of banking activities within the framework of restrictions imposed by the government to prevent coronavirus infection. Dear Sir, In order to prevent the spread of the disease caused by the Coronavirus (COVID-19), several instructions were issued through DOS Circular Letter No.-15 dated 13 April 2021, regarding the operation of limited banking activities from 14 April 2021 to 21 April 2021. Subsequently, through DOS Circular Letter No.-16 dated 20 April 2021 and DOS Circular Letter No.-18 dated 28 April 2021, the time limit for all instructions provided in DOS Circular Letter No.-15 was extended up to 05 May 2021. 02. In light of the memo No.-04.00.0000.514.16.003.20.141 dated 05 May 2021 of the Ministry of Public Administration, limited banking activities will be conducted from 06 May 2021 to 16 May 2021 according to the following instructions: (a) The schedule for daily banking transactions has been fixed from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. For performing subsequent transaction-related activities, the concerned bank branches and relevant departments of the Head Office may remain open until 3:30 PM. (b) Other instructions provided in DOS Circular Letter No.-15 issued by Bangladesh Bank on 13 April 2021 will remain unchanged. 03. Bank employees and officials must compulsorily remain at their respective workplaces during the Eid holidays. 04. To facilitate the payment of salaries, bonuses, and other allowances to workers/employees/staff working in the ready-made garment industry before Eid, and in the interest of continuing export trade, the garment industry-related branches of scheduled banks located in Dhaka Metropolitan, Ashulia, Tongi, Gazipur, Savar, Baluka, Narayanganj, and Chittagong, and the relevant departments of the Head Office, must remain open on 10 May 2021 and 13 May 2021 (subject to Eid falling on 14 May 2021), ensuring proper compliance with health regulations.
