DOS Circular Letter No. 19: Payment of salary and allowances for July 2014 to Non-Gazetted employees and Armed Forces personnel, and pensions for retired government servants on 22 July 2014 for Eid-ul-Fitr

The Ministry of Finance directs that salaries, allowances, and pensions for July 2014 be paid on 22 July 2014 to all non-gazetted employees of government, semi-government, and autonomous bodies, non-commissioned officers and employees of the Armed Forces, and all retired government servants in Bangladesh. This early payment is authorized to coincide with the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, which is scheduled for 29 July 2014 subject to moon sighting. The order is issued under the powers conferred by Section 113(2) of the Bangladesh Treasury Rules.

It is directed under the appropriate subject matter that, according to the Government Calendar-2014, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on 29 July (subject to moon sighting). Therefore, the Government has taken the decision that the salary and allowances for the month of July/2014 for all Non-Gazetted employees of Government, Semi-Government, and Autonomous institutions, as well as Non-Commissioned Officers/employees of the Armed Forces, and the pension for the month of July/2014 for all retired Government servants of the country will be paid on 22 July, 2014.
