DOS Circular Letter No. 20: Conducting Banking Service from 28 July 2024 to 30 July 2024
The Department of Offshore Supervision mandates that all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh conduct banking services from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on July 28, 29, and 30, 2024, with office hours extending to 3:30 PM. Banks are advised to ensure appropriate security measures during these operations. Additionally, the instructions from DOS Circular Letter No. 24 dated August 5, 2019, regarding the maintenance of half-day operations for bank branches, sub-branches, and booths located in port, customs, and airport areas remain in force.

Regarding the conduct of banking programs on July 28, 29, and 30, 2024.
Dear Sir,
In light of the government's decision to relax the curfew, all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh will conduct banking services according to the following schedule on July 28, 29, and 30, 2024:
Transaction Schedule Office Schedule 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM

You are advised to ensure appropriate security measures for the conduct of banking and official programs.

Furthermore, the instructions issued in DOS Circular Letter No. 24 dated August 5, 2019, regarding the maintenance of half-day operations for bank branches, sub-branches, and booths located in sea/land/air port areas (port and customs areas) will remain in force.
These instructions are issued under the powers conferred by Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991.
