DOS Circular Letter No. 21: Change in Bank Office and Transaction Hours
The Department of Offsite Supervision mandates that all scheduled banks in Bangladesh operate their offices and conduct transactions according to a new schedule effective July 31, 2024. Under this directive, banks are open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturdays through Wednesdays, with transaction hours limited to 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM during the same period. Saturdays and Sundays are designated as weekly holidays for bank operations.

The instructions contained in DOS Circular Letter No. 24 issued on 05 August 2019 regarding the maintenance of branches/sub-branches/booths of banks located in sea/land/air port areas shall remain in force.

Starting from 31 July 2024, banking activities will be conducted according to the following schedule:
