Dear Sir,

Regarding the decision to keep the relevant scheduled bank branches open at Dhaka Customs House, Chittagong, ICID Kamalpur, Mongla, Benapole, and Pangao during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha holiday from 09-11 September, 2016, to keep the import-export trade of the export-oriented ready-made garment industry active.

The National Board of Revenue has decided to keep the Dhaka, Chittagong, ICID Kamalpur, Mongla, Benapole, and Pangao Customs Houses open from 09 September, 2016 to 11 September, 2016 to keep the country's import and export trade active during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha holiday. It is mentioned that, in accordance with DOS Circular Letter No.-18 issued on 07 December, 2006, the instructions to keep the Export-Import (E-I) branches of scheduled banks, including air, sea/water, and land ports, open on weekly holidays, Saturday and Sunday, remain in force.

2. In view of the above, in addition to the instructions of this circular, the relevant scheduled bank branches at the aforementioned customs stations are hereby instructed to remain open on 11 September, 2016, to ensure security while keeping the country's import and export trade active.

3. You are also advised to provide reasonable allowances to officers/employees who report for duty on the aforementioned holiday for official work.
