This directive follows the announcement by the Armed Forces Public Relations Department regarding the reopening of offices and ensures that appropriate security measures are maintained. The instruction supersedes the previous closure order issued via DOS Circular Letter No. 22, which mandated the closure of institutions from August 5 to August 7, 2024.

Regarding the continuation of normal banking services from 06 August 2024.
Dear Sir,
In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991, these directions are issued.
It is informed for your information that, through DOS Circular Letter No. 22 issued by this department on 04 August 2024, instructions were given to keep all scheduled banks and financial institutions operating in Bangladesh closed until 07 August 2024.
Now, in light of the announcement by the Armed Forces Public Relations Department (ISPR) regarding the reopening of offices, instructions are hereby given to all scheduled banks and financial institutions operating in Bangladesh to remain open in the normal manner from Monday, 06 August 2024, prior to ensuring adequate security measures.
