DOS Circular Letter No. 24: Cancellation of Holiday on 15th August 2024
All scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh are required to remain open on 15 August 2024, as the government has cancelled the public holiday previously declared for the National Mourning Day. This directive is issued under Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991, following a memorandum from the Ministry of Public Administration dated 13 August 2024.

This is for your information that, in light of the government's cancellation of the public holiday declared on 15 August 2024 for the National Mourning Day via Memorandum No. 05.00.0000.173.08.013.23-117 dated 13 August 2024 from the Ministry of Public Administration, all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh will remain open on the said date as per normal routine.
