DOS Circular Letter No. 24: Keeping Scheduled Bank Branches Closed on 31 October 2016 in the Election Area of Pakundia Municipality of Kishoreganj District and All Suspended Union Councils at Different Districts
All scheduled bank branches located in the election area of Pakundia Municipality in Kishoreganj District and all suspended or postponed Union Councils in various districts must remain closed on Monday, 31 October 2016. This directive is issued to facilitate the exercise of voting rights and the voting process for government officials and employees during the general election and the suspended Union Council elections. The closure applies specifically to the areas listed in Annexure A of the circular.

Dear Sir,
Subject: Declaration of closure of scheduled bank branches in the election area on Monday, 31/10/2016, ahead of the upcoming election of Pakundia Municipality of Kishoreganj District and suspended/postponed Union Council elections.\
In light of the Memorandum No. 05.00.0000.173.08.001.12-257 and 05.00.0000.173.08.001.12-258 dated 27/10/2016 of the Law-4 Branch, Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, and in view of the general election of Pakundia Municipality of Kishoreganj District and the Union Council elections in the combined area 'A' mentioned in Annexure A, announced by the Election Commission, all scheduled bank branches located in the relevant election area will remain closed on the day of voting, i.e., Monday, 31 October 2016, to facilitate the exercise of voting rights and voting for government officials and employees.
