DOS Circular Letter No. 26: Closing of Scheduled Bank Branches due to Sherpur Sadar Upazila Parishad and Nabinagar Pourashava Election
Scheduled bank branches in the Sherpur Sadar Upazila and Nabinagar Pourashava areas must remain closed on September 25, 2014, and September 29, 2014, respectively, to facilitate local elections and allow bank staff to exercise their voting rights. This directive is issued in accordance with general holiday declarations by the Ministry of Public Administration for these specific electoral areas.

Dear Sir,
Regarding the closure of scheduled banks during the voting for the Sherpur Sadar Upazila Parishad election in Sherpur District and the Nabinagar Pourashava election in Nabinagar Upazila, Brahmanbaria District.
In this regard, a general holiday has been declared in the respective electoral areas for the voting of the Sherpur Sadar Upazila Parishad election in Sherpur District and the Nabinagar Pourashava election in Nabinagar Upazila, Brahmanbaria District, pursuant to Memorandum No. 05.00.0000.173.08.001.12-227 dated 24/09/2014 and Memorandum No. 05.00.0000.173.08.001.12-226 dated 23/09/2014 of the Ministry of Public Administration. In light of this, to facilitate the exercise of voting rights and voting by bank employees/staff, all branches of scheduled banks located in the respective electoral areas will remain closed according to the schedule below:
