DOS Circular Letter No. 26: Instruction to take necessary measures to facilitate casting of vote by the voter employees of the related areas
The Department of Off-Site Supervision instructs all scheduled banks to close branches located in specific electoral constituencies on June 21, 2021, where polling stations have been established for upcoming elections. Banks must also ensure that their employee voters are granted the opportunity to exercise their voting rights in these designated areas. This directive is issued in response to government notifications regarding elections for the Laxmipur-2 vacant seat, Jhalokathi and Setabganj Upazila municipalities, and 204 Union Parishads.

Regarding the need to take necessary measures to facilitate the exercise of voting rights by voters in the relevant electoral areas on the occasion of elections held in various areas on June 21, 2021.
Dear Sir,
In light of Gazette Notification Number: 05.00.0000.173.08.001.17-119 dated June 20, 2021, issued by the Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, concerning the election for the vacant seat of Laxmipur-2 in the National Parliament, general elections for Jhalokathi Municipality in Jhalokathi District and Setabganj Municipality in Dinajpur District, and notification number: 05.00.0000.173.08.001.17-120 (notification attached) regarding the general elections of 204 Union Parishads, advice is given to keep closed any bank branch located in establishments designated as polling stations or for election activities within the relevant electoral areas on the day of voting, June 21, 2021. Furthermore, banks are advised to take necessary measures to facilitate the exercise of voting rights by their voter employees residing in the relevant electoral areas.
