The Department of Off-Site Supervision of Bangladesh Bank notifies that the public holiday for Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) is rescheduled from Monday, December 12, 2016, to Tuesday, December 13, 2016. This change follows a directive from the Ministry of Public Administration of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. All scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh are required to observe the revised holiday date.

Dear Sir,
Reference is invited to this Department's Circular Letter No. 17/2015 dated 25-11-2015 on the subject of declaring a holiday on Tuesday, 13 December, 2016 on the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH).
According to the aforementioned circular, a holiday was declared on Monday, 12 December 2016 on the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH).
Now, according to Memorandum No. 05.00.0000.173.08.014.07-272 dated 08 December, 2016 of the Rule-4 Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, the holiday declared for the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) on Monday, 12 December, 2016 has been rescheduled to Tuesday, 13 December, 2016.
