Scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh are directed to keep specific branches open after regular office hours on Thursday, 26 December 2024, to facilitate the submission of Hajj authority fees. This measure is implemented to ensure the availability of fee collection services for as long as fee depositors remain present, following security assurances. The directive is issued under Section 45 of the Companies Act, 1991, in response to a memorandum from the Ministry of Religious Affairs dated 24 December 2024.

Regarding keeping bank branches related to Hajj activities open after office hours on 26 December 2024.
Dear Sir,
In light of Memorandum No. 16.00.0000.003.18.006.19(Ang)-1402 dated 24 December 2024 from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, instructions are hereby given to take necessary arrangements to keep the relevant branches of your bank, which are authorized to collect Hajj authority fees, open after office hours on Thursday, 26 December 2024, until fee depositors remain present, to facilitate the submission of Hajj registration fees, provided that security is ensured.
This instruction is issued in the public interest under the powers conferred by Section 45 of the Companies Act, 1991.
