The Department of Offshore Supervision advises all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to close their branches or sub-branches located in the Faridpur-2 election area on November 5, 2022, if those premises are designated as polling stations for the National Parliament by-election. This directive is issued in accordance with Gazette Notification No. 05.00.0000.173.08.002.21-230 dated October 30, 2022, from the Ministry of Public Administration to ensure that voters employed by these banks are able to exercise their voting rights without obstruction.

Regarding the need to take necessary measures to facilitate the exercise of voting rights by voters in the concerned election area and to keep bank branches/sub-branches located in the concerned election area closed, which are used as polling stations for the election to the vacant seat of 212 Faridpur-2 of the National Parliament on 05 November 2022.

In accordance with Gazette Notification No. 05.00.0000.173.08.002.21-230 dated 30 October 2022 of the Ministry of Public Administration, it is advised to keep closed any branch/sub-branch of the bank located in any establishment designated as a polling station or for election activities in the concerned election area on the day of vote counting, 05 November 2022, for the election to the vacant seat of 212 Faridpur-2 of the National Parliament, and to take necessary measures to facilitate the exercise of voting rights by voters working in the branches/sub-branches of your bank in the concerned election area.
