The Department of Off-site Supervision advises scheduled banks to keep their branches and sub-branches closed on 4 September 2021 in the Sylhet-3 election area where premises are designated as polling stations or for election work. This measure is intended to facilitate voter employees in exercising their voting rights during the by-election for the vacant seat of the 231 Sylhet-3 constituency of the 11th National Parliament.

Subject: Regarding the need to take necessary measures to keep bank branches closed in the relevant election area on 04 September 2021 for the election of the vacant seat of 231 Sylhet-3 of the National Parliament and to facilitate voters to exercise their voting rights.
Dear Sir,
In the context of the election for the vacant seat of 231 Sylhet-3 of the 11th National Parliament, it is advised to keep any bank branch/sub-branch closed if located in any premises designated as a polling station or for election work in the election area on the polling day, 04 September 2021. Furthermore, necessary measures should be taken to facilitate voter employees of your bank operating in the relevant election area to exercise their voting rights.
