DOS Circular Letter No. 39: Keeping scheduled bank branches closed in the election area on 27th December 2022 Tuesday for Election of Rangpur City Corporation
Scheduled banks operating in the Rangpur City Corporation election area are required to keep all branches and regional offices closed on Tuesday, 27 December 2022. This closure is mandated by Government of Bangladesh Gazette Notification No. 05.00.0000.173.08.002.12-21-267 to facilitate voting and election activities for the Rangpur City Corporation election. The directive applies to all scheduled banks operating within the specified election area.

In the context of declaring a general holiday on 27 December 2022 Tuesday for the Election of Rangpur City Corporation.
Dear Sir,
In accordance with the Gazette Notification No. 05.00.0000.173.08.002.12-21-267 dated 26 December 2022 of the Ministry of Public Administration, all branches/sub-branches of scheduled banks located in the election area, including regional offices, shall remain closed on 27 December 2022 for the Election of Rangpur City Corporation to facilitate the exercise of their voting rights and voting by employees/officers.
