DOS Circular Letter No. 43: Re-fixation of holiday for Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (S)

The Department of Off-Site Supervision of Bangladesh Bank has rescheduled the holiday for Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (S) from Tuesday, 19 October 2021 to Wednesday, 20 October 2021, based on the decision of the National Moon Sighting Committee. This directive applies to all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh and supersedes the previous holiday announcement made via DOS Circular Letter No. 36 dated 12 November 2020.

Reference is drawn to your attention to DOS Circular Letter No. 36 issued by this department on 12 November 2020.

In accordance with the aforementioned circular, a holiday was declared for Tuesday, 19 October 2021 on the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (S). Now, in accordance with the decision of the National Moon Sighting Committee, the holiday declared for the holy Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (S) has been re-fixed from Tuesday, 19 October 2021 to Wednesday, 20 October 2021.
