DOS Circular Letter No. 49: Instruction to take necessary measures to facilitate casting of vote by the voter employees of the related areas on 11th November 2021 for election of Union Parishads
The Department of Off-Site Supervision instructs all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to close branches or sub-branches located within the 848 designated Union Parishad election areas on November 11, 2021, where these premises are being used as polling stations or for election activities. Banks are further directed to take necessary measures to facilitate the exercise of voting rights by their employees who are voters in these specific election areas.

Regarding the instruction to close bank branches/sub-branches located in the relevant election areas used as polling stations for the election of 848 Union Parishads on 11 November 2021, and to take necessary measures to facilitate the exercise of voting rights by voters.

Reference is made to the notification number-05.00.0000.173.08.002.18-217- dated 07 November 2021 of the Ministry of Public Administration (Notification attached), which designates premises to be used as polling stations or for election activities for the election of 848 Union Parishads on 11 November 2021. It is advised that if any bank branch/sub-branch is located in such designated premises, it should be closed. Furthermore, necessary measures should be taken to facilitate the exercise of voting rights by your bank's employees who are voters in the relevant election areas.
