The Central Bank of Libya issued Periodic Letter No. 208/2017 to mandate commercial banks and the Libyan Foreign Bank to periodically submit copies of their Monthly Financial Statements and Modified Financial Statement Models to its Research and Statistics Department and Contributions and Loans Unit. This directive operationalizes the banks' reporting obligations under Law No. 1 of 2005 by aligning current submissions with the established frameworks outlined in Circular No. 8/96 and Periodic Letter No. 48/2010. Compliance requires consistent, end-of-month reporting to ensure accurate regulatory oversight and survey data collection.
