## TO ALL BANKS
### SWIFT Customer Security Program – Self Attestation
As you are all aware, SWIFT launched its Customer Security Programme (CSP) so as to help its customers secure and protect their environments such that a more secure financial ecosystem can be fostered.
Accordingly, a set of mandatory and advisory security controls have been prescribed for all users to adopt. In order to ensure adoption of these controls, SWIFT has developed an attestation and compliance process which requires users to self-attest compliance against the mandatory and, optionally, the advisory controls by end of December 2017.
As such, CBS is hereby requiring all banks to adhere to the above stated deadline and to also inform CBS on the outcome of the self-attestation process. Moreover, banks are advised to provide the details of Mr. Naadir Hassan, Head of Financial Surveillance Division as the contact details of the Regulator when completing the attestation forms. For any further clarification with regards to the above, kindly contact Ms Mikaella Joubert on +248 4282159 or email mikaella.joubert@cbs.sc or financialregulation@cbs.sc
CBS counts on your usual cooperation.
Yours sincerely,
C. Abel (Ms)
Governor
