The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) issued Decision No. (21) of 2019 to extend the documentation deadline for institutional agents of companies operating in non-banking financial activities. The extension grants an additional six months effective from March 1, 2019, allowing these agents to regularize their registration status under the previous regulatory framework established by Decision No. 106 of 2018. This directive takes effect the day after its publication in the Egyptian Gazette and on the Authority's official website.
Having reviewed Law No. 10 of 2009 concerning the regulation of supervision over non-banking financial markets and instruments,
and Presidential Decree No. 192 of 2009 concerning the Basic Statute of the Financial Regulatory Authority,
and the Authority's Board of Directors Decision No. 106 of 2018 concerning the conditions for registration, renewal, and deletion of institutional agents of companies operating in non-banking financial activities in the Authority's registers,
and the memorandum prepared by the Central Administration for Establishment and Licensing on this matter,
and the approval of the Authority's Board of Directors in its session held on 2019/02/24.
The deadline granted to institutional agents of companies operating in non-banking financial activities under Article Thirteen of the Authority's Board of Directors Decision No. 106 of 2018 is extended for an additional six months effective from 2019/03/01, for the purpose of documenting their status.
This Decision shall be published in the Egyptian Gazette and on the Authority's website, and shall take effect from the day following its publication in the Egyptian Gazette.
