The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control issued General License 5 to authorize the wind down of transactions involving Exportadora de Metales Sociedad Anonima. OFAC simultaneously updated the Specially Designated Nationals List by adding seven individuals and seven entities linked to the Nicaraguan regime. These designations target government officials and regime-linked gold firms involved in seizing U.S.-owned property and engaging in mining activities.
