The Equity and Entrepreneurship Fund (EEF) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from entrepreneurs for IT sector projects, with submissions due by 27/05/2008 to the Executive Director of the EEF Unit at Bangladesh Bank. Eligible entrepreneurs will be shortlisted and advised to submit project proposals through banks or financial institutions for preliminary evaluation by a committee of financial analysts and IT experts. Participation in the EOI does not guarantee EEF assistance, and all other conditions in previously issued EEF circulars remain unchanged.

Dear Sir,
Equity and Entrepreneurship Fund (EEF) — EEF Assistance for IT Project.
Reference is invited to EEF Circular No.-25, dated 06/12/2007 on the subject above.
With the approval of the competent authority, it has been decided to call for Expression of Interest (EOI) from interested entrepreneurs for providing EEF assistance in the IT sector. A notice regarding the same has already been published in daily newspapers. Detailed information regarding the EOI will be available on the Bangladesh Bank website (www.bangladesh-bank.org) and (www.bangladeshbank.org.bd). The EOI must be submitted to the Executive Director, EEF Unit, 1st Annex Building (8th Floor), Bangladesh Bank, Head Office, Motijheel, Dhaka by 27/05/2008.
A shortlist of eligible entrepreneurs will be prepared after verifying the submitted EOIs. Subsequently, they will be advised to submit project proposals through banks/financial institutions. Banks/financial institutions, upon receiving the project proposals, will conduct a preliminary evaluation through a committee comprising competent financial analysts and IT experts in accordance with the guidelines mentioned in the EEF Circular, and forward them to the EEF Unit as per due process.
It is noted that participation in the EOI does not guarantee EEF assistance.
Regarding the submission of proposals for EEF assistance in the IT sector after 27/05/2008, the EEF Unit will issue further circulars and guidelines as necessary.
All other conditions mentioned in the EEF circulars issued so far will remain unchanged.
This directive shall be deemed effective immediately.
