The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago mandates that all financial institutions submit correspondence, documents, and regulatory returns electronically to the Financial Institutions Supervision Department starting March 30, 2020. The directive prohibits face-to-face meetings and requires soft copies of applications and queries to be sent via email to specific designated supervisors for banks, insurance, pensions, bureaux de change, and payment systems. Entities are encouraged to use ACH and RTGS services for fee payments and must include evidence of payment with their electronic submissions.
