The Estonian Financial Supervisory Authority granted ERGO Insurance SE permission to merge with and absorb the Lithuanian insurer Akcinė draudimo bendrovė Gjensidige. The regulator approved the transaction after verifying the financial position, capital adequacy, and governance of both entities. This decision ensures that the interests of policyholders, insured persons, and beneficiaries remain sufficiently protected during the consolidation.

Finantsinspektsioon granted the Estonian insurance undertaking ERGO Insurance SE permission to merge with the Lithuanian insurance undertaking Akcinė draudimo bendrovė Gjensidige. As a result, ERGO Insurance SE has the right to conclude its merger with Akcinė draudimo bendrovė Gjensidige and absorb the the assets, rights, liabilities and insurance portfolio of Gjensidige.
Finantsinspektsioon considered the financial position, capital adequacy and governance of the merging insurance undertakings when issuing the licence, and whether the interests of policyholders, the people insured persons, and the beneficiaries remain sufficiently protected.
