Finansinspektionen issued regulations amending its supervisory reporting rules for insurance business to insert a new exemption clause. The amendment adds Chapter 1, section 2a, which excludes insurance associations granted specific exemptions under the Insurance Business Act from these reporting requirements. These regulations entered into force on 1 November 2020.

Finansinspektionen prescribes pursuant to Chapter 7, section 2 of the Insurance Business Ordinance (2001:257) and section 15 of the Official Statistics Ordinance (2001:100) that a new section, Chapter 1, section 2a, shall be inserted into Finansinspektionen’s regulations and general guidelines (FFFS 2015:3) regarding supervisory reporting for insurance business with the following wording. Chapter 1 Section 2a The regulations do not apply to an insurance association granted exemption by Finansinspektionen pursuant to Chapter 1, section 19d of the Insurance Business Act (2010:2043).
