The Governor of the Central Bank of Madagascar issued Instruction No. 001-DCR/09 to reduce the national policy rate from 10.0 percent to 9.50 percent, effective August 3, 2009. Grounded in the Bank's statutory law and the Governor's appointment decree, this directive officially amends the monetary policy benchmark. The single-article ruling takes immediate effect upon issuance in Antananarivo, thereby adjusting the country's primary interest rate framework.
