Circular Letter Dated May 24, 2026, Regarding the Cabinet's Approval to Amend the Tourism Sector Support Initiative
The Cabinet has approved amendments to the tourism sector support initiative, authorizing the use of remaining funds totaling 50 billion Egyptian pounds for applications registered on the Central Bank of Egypt's system by April 20, 2026. Unutilized amounts are permitted for activation within six months, ending October 20, 2026, while individual client credit limits are capped at 2 billion pounds or 4 billion pounds for related parties, contingent upon ministerial approval. These credit limits remain subject to the overarching 50 billion pound ceiling for the entire initiative.
