FE Circular Letter No. 27: Extension of usance period against imports of industrial raw materials
The usance period for imports of industrial raw materials, including back-to-back imports and imports of agricultural implements and chemical fertilizers under suppliers’ or buyers’ credit, remains extended to 360 days until December 31, 2025. This extension, originally established by FE Circular No. 08 dated January 20, 2025, continues to apply to Authorized Dealers in Bangladesh. The extended usance period is explicitly not applicable for imports under EDF loans.

FE Circular No. 08, dated January 20, 2025 extended usance period to 360 days from 180 days for import of industrial raw materials including back to back imports and imports of agricultural implements and chemical fertilizers under suppliers’/buyers’ credit till December 31, 2025. This is to note that the instructions of this circular will remain valid till December 31, 2025. As usual, the extended usance period will not be applicable for imports under EDF loans as earlier.
