Attention of Authorized Dealers (AD) is drawn on “The Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions (GFET) Volume 1 and Volume 2 version 2018” which have been issued through this FE Circular. This issues are successor to 2009 and 2010 version for volume 1 and volume 2 respectively, issued vide FE Circular No 9 dated July 30, 2009 and FE Circular No 16 dated 19 September, 2010. 02. Instructions of FE Circulars and Circular Letters issued upto November 30, 2017, other than instructions of different government bodies issued vide our FE Circulars and Circular Letters, have been incorporated in this GFET, 2018 version. The printed copy may be obtained from the Foreign Exchange Policy Department at a cost of Tk. 500 (Five hundred taka) upon written application. Soft copy of the same could be downloaded from Bangladesh Bank website. 03. ADs are suggested to submit application along with account payee cheque of required amount in favor of Bangladesh Bank. ADs may also buy the GFET, 2018 on behalf of their customers. The Guidelines may be purchased in cash only for limited numbers of set. 04. This Circular along with volume 1 and 2 of GFET, 2018 are issued under the authority of Section 20(3) of the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1947 (Act VII of 1947, amended upto September 09, 2015). 05.
