Reporting Security Incidents
The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority requires all banks operating in the Kingdom to report any security incidents, such as theft, armed robbery, vandalism, ATM removal, or cash-in-transit attacks, to local security authorities. Banks must additionally notify SAMA’s Cash Centers and Operations Supervision Department by completing the attached incident report form and submitting it via the designated email address. This directive addresses observed reporting deficiencies and establishes a mandatory standardized procedure for all bank facilities and operations.

Subject: Reporting Security Incidents.
Given the Authority's observation that some banks have failed to report security incidents occurring at bank facilities, such as vandalism, sabotage, theft, armed robbery, or ATM removal, to the security authorities and the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority.
Accordingly, we request that banks in the future report any incident occurring at all bank facilities or on cash-in-transit vehicles to the security authorities, and notify the Authority (Cash Centers and Operations Supervision Department) using the attached form via email (multibankcashcenter@sama.gov.sa).
