FEPD-1 Circular No. 05: Discount claims against exports of ships, frozen shrimp and fish products
Authorized Dealers may submit applications for discount claims against exports of ships, frozen shrimp, and fish products to the Discount Committee through the Foreign Exchange Policy Department-1 at Bangladesh Bank's Head Office. This change aligns with a Government decision that also co-opts the Association of Export Oriented Shipbuilding Industries of Bangladesh (AEOSIB) and the Bangladesh Frozen Foods Exporters Association (BFFEA) as members of the committee. Submissions must comply with usual formalities and procedures.

In terms of paragraph 19(4) of FE Circular No. 31 dated July 31, 2025 and FE Circular No. 49 dated December 09, 2025, Authorized Dealers (ADs) may submit applications for discounts claimed by importers in respect of shipment of readymade garments, leather goods and jute goods. 02. In accordance with the decision of the Government, Discount Committee will consider applications for discount claims against exports of ships, frozen shrimp and fish products. Accordingly, ADs may submit applications for discount claims against such exports to Discount Committee through Foreign Exchange Policy Department-1 of Bangladesh Bank, Head Office in compliance with usual formalities and procedures. In view of the decision, Association of Export Oriented Shipbuilding Industries of Bangladesh (AEOSIB) and Bangladesh Frozen Foods Exporters Association (BFFEA) will be co-opted as members of the committee.
